Not gonna lie... this interview cracked me wide open

Hey Reader!

Have you ever had one of those moments where something just clicks?

That happened to me this week while watching an interview with a digital product designer (Michelle Rohr) who completely flipped how I think about marketing, productivity, and joy in business.

If you've been feeling like your creativity is getting buried under all the “shoulds,” I think this will speak to you, too.

Let’s talk about building a business that actually feels like yours again.

Real Talk Corner

This interview shifted something big for me.

I watched a conversation with a digital product designer recently and wow. It cracked open something I didn’t even realize I’d been craving:

A business that feels like a playground, not a pressure cooker.

They said things I’ve felt but hadn’t put words to: Like how marketing doesn’t have to feel like marketing. how it’s okay, powerful, even, to follow your inspiration first. that our businesses should expand us, not drain us.

So here’s what I’m doing (and maybe you want to join me):
✨ Creating from joy, not obligation
✨ Stop spending so much time chasing algorithms
✨ Keeping my systems simple, organized, and built for freedom
✨ Letting intuition lead, even if it’s not “what I planned”

This was a full permission slip to build a business that honors me.

If you’ve been craving something softer, simpler, more soul-led… I think you’ll love this too.

AI Prompt Drop

And recently, I tested a simple but powerful AI prompt from a mentor that completely reframed how I look at my progress, patterns, and next moves.

Here’s the prompt I used:

"I'm sharing my business journal entries from the past [time period]. Please analyze these entries and provide me with:

  • Key patterns in my business operations
  • My biggest wins and what contributed to them
  • Recurring challenges + possible overlooked solutions
  • Evidence of growth
  • Strategic insights I can act on
  • Mindset shifts or quotes that show evolution."

I dropped in a few journal entries, brain dumped a few thoughts via speaking into ChatGPT (have you tried that yet? Hit reply and let me know) and got back a surprisingly insightful breakdown.

One that helped me spot what’s actually working, what I need to let go of, and how much I’ve grown (even when it didn’t feel like it).

It’s a reminder that the best strategies aren’t always in another course or checklist… sometimes, they’re already hiding in your own words.

Hey Reader! This week's newsletter is short and sweet but it's something we all need to think about and keep in mind... "adding value". Let’s talk about ‘adding value’ or creating ‘valuable content’ today. Everyone says, ‘add value’ but WTF does that even mean? 🤔 It’s starting to sound like another buzzword that gets tossed around more than confetti at a Canva tutorial. Here’s the truth: value isn’t just a bullet-point list of tips or a 10-minute tutorial with background music and B-roll....

Hey Reader! Before we begin: Mother’s Day hits everyone differently. It can bring up joy, pride, grief, complexity all at once. If this season feels tender, I’m sending love and space your way. Now let’s talk about the one line that’s quietly shaped my life and business more than almost anything else: “Just be yourself.” Simple. Classic. Very mom. The first time she said it, I was 12 years old, trying to impress a group of girls who clearly didn’t get me (and made sure I knew it). I wanted to...
