What does adding value even mean anymore?

Hey Reader!

This week's newsletter is short and sweet but it's something we all need to think about and keep in mind... "adding value".

Let’s talk about ‘adding value’ or creating ‘valuable content’ today.

Everyone says, ‘add value’ but WTF does that even mean? 🤔

It’s starting to sound like another buzzword that gets tossed around more than confetti at a Canva tutorial.

Here’s the truth: value isn’t just a bullet-point list of tips or a 10-minute tutorial with background music and B-roll.

Real value is anything that helps your audience feel seen, supported, or inspired to take action.

That story you shared about your tech fail?
📌 Value.

The reel where you gave a quick mindset shift?
📌 Still value.

The meme that made someone laugh-snort coffee?
📌 Especially value.

We’ve put “value” on such a high pedestal that people feel burned out before they even get started.

And if you've ever stared at a blinking cursor thinking, what’s the most valuable thing I can say today?, I see you. I’ve been there.

So here’s your reminder: Value doesn’t always look like effort.

It looks like connection.
It sounds like truth.
It feels like you showing up consistently without the performance pressure.

You don’t need to post your deepest lesson or your next 5-step framework every time.

Just focus on who you’re talking to and why they follow you.

Start there.

Everything else is just bonus points.

Hey Reader! Before we begin: Mother’s Day hits everyone differently. It can bring up joy, pride, grief, complexity all at once. If this season feels tender, I’m sending love and space your way. Now let’s talk about the one line that’s quietly shaped my life and business more than almost anything else: “Just be yourself.” Simple. Classic. Very mom. The first time she said it, I was 12 years old, trying to impress a group of girls who clearly didn’t get me (and made sure I knew it). I wanted to...

Hey Reader! Before diving into the weekend, take a moment to reflect: What worked well this week? What felt overwhelming? A quick reset now can make next week so much smoother. Pick one small adjustment - whether it’s simplifying your to-do list, setting clearer priorities, or building in buffer time - and let that be your focus. For me? I realized that my daily routine wasn’t actually built to support my success - it was fueling my procrastination. I kept trying to “fix” my lack of...
